Private medical, dental college admission till Jan 8

The deadline for admission into private medical and dental colleges for MBBS and BDS courses has been extended till January 8, 2017.
Earlier, the last date for admission was December 31, 2016.
The decision was taken yesterday at a meeting on private medical college policies at the health ministry with Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim in the chair, said an official release.
State Minister for Health Zahid Malik and Health Secretary M Sirajul Islam were present at the meeting, among others.
Meanwhile, the government today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China to set up a 1000-bed modern cancer hospital.
Health Secretary M Sirajul Islam signed the MoU at a function at the secretariat in the presence of Health Minister Mohammad Nasim, said the release.
