Man held with drugs, firearms in Meherpur

A team of Bangladesh Army in a drive, arrested a man along with a firearms and Yaba pills from Borobazar area in Meherpur district town on Sunday.

The arrested is Imran Helali Prince, 36, from Meherpur municipality. 

Confirming the matter, Meherpur Police Station officer-in-charge Sheikh Mezbah Uddin said that army personnel arrested the accused along with a China-made AK-47, three locally made arms and 37 pieces of Yaba pills.

They then, handed over the arrestee along with the seized drugs and arms to the police station with a case. 

The legal actions will be taken in this regard, he added.
