2 held with 2kg hemp in B’baria

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with hemp from Bijoynagar upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Monday.

The arrested were Md Sujon Mia, 42, and Md Ashik Mia, 24, from Monipur village in the upazila.

According to the press release issued by 25th BGB Sarail battalion of Cumilla Sector, being tipped-off, Lakhsmipur Border Outpost (BOP) patrol team conducted a drive and arrested them along with two kilograms of hemp from Monipur area of the upazila.

�The arrested two and seized drugs will be handed over to Bijoynagar Police Station and a case will be filed to take legal actions,� reads the press release.
