2 penalized for topsoil extraction in Kushtia

A mobile court has fined two individuals to Tk 1 lakh for illegally extracting topsoil from a cropland at Daulatpur upazil in Kushtia district on Sunday.
The mobile court, headed by executive magistrate Md Foysal Uddin, conducted the drive at the upazila�s Nagar union area and seized two soil filled trucks.
They also detained two individuals for their involvment and fined them Tk one lakh each.
The fine was imposed under the Balumhal and Soil Management Act, 2010.
