One held in Bogura while preparing for robbery

Police have arrested a man reportedly while preparing for robbery at Adamdighi upazila in Bogura district on Sunday. 

The detained is Piyas Mondal, 31, a resident of Kashira Palpara under Akkelpur upazila in Jpypurhat district.

Acting on a tip-off, police team conducted a drive at Dastagir Brick field along Adamdighi road and arrested Piyas along with several locally made arms, suppossed to be used in the robbery.

Adamdighi Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Mustafizur Rahman confirmed the detention and said that a case has been filed against him. 

However, he is accused in 14 other cases filed with the same police station. The accused, later, sent to a court on Monday afternoon, added the OC.
