Man killed in Bogura road crash

A truck helper was killed after being hit by another truck at Nandigram upazila in Bogura district on Tuesday.

The mishap took place along the Bogura-Natore highway near Kundarhat bus stoppage in the morning.

The deceased was identified as Raju Ahmed, 50, hailed from Kobotpur village of Ulipur upazila in Kurigram district. 

Witnesses said that a speedy truck from Natore was trying to overtake the vitim's truck from behind and Raju. He died on the spot.

 Later, locals informed the nearby police station and on information, police recovered the body.

Kundarhat Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Monowar-uz-Zaman confirmed the incident and said that reckless driving and over taking tendency causes the incident. 

The trucks were seized from the scene, however, the drivers managed to escape the scene and legal actions will be taken in this regard, added the OC.
