Missing van driver's body recovered from Madaripur railway track

A youth, who went missing on January 19, was found dead on a railway track at Shibchar upazila in Madaripur district on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Munna, 19, son of Abdur Razzak and lived with his family at college road area of the upazila.

According to the family members, Munna went out of his on January 19 with his van and went missing. After a through search, his family made a complaint with Shibchar Police Station on January 21.

Later on Tuesday (January 28), locals found the body lying along the railway tracks at Bakherkandi area and informed nearby police station. Hearing the news, the victim's brother, Md Sobuj Miridha, along with family members rushed to the spot and identified the body as Munna.

Shibchar Police Station officer-in-charge Md Ratan Sheikh confirmed the recovery and said that the investigation is ongoing to know further information about the incident.
