Fire breaks out in N’ganj polythene factory

A polythene factory in Narayanganj�s Fatullah, caught fire reportedly from the sparks of firecrackers early Wednesday.

Being informed, six firefighting units rushed and brought the blaze under control within an hour.

Factory owner, Sumon Mia, said that fireworks were set off at an event next to the factory from where a spark may have caused the fire. Primarily, the fire engulfed a part of the factory around 1.30 AM and spread out to the whole area soon.

Narayanganj Fire Service Assistant Deputy Director Abdullah Al Arefin confirmed the incident, adding that the extend of damages and cause of the fire can be known after investigation.
