Mother, 7-month-old daughter die from electrocution in Magura

A woman and her minor daughter died after being electrocuted in Magura Sadar upazila while cooking rice in a Rice Cooker.

The deceased were identified as Shetu, 30, wife of Awal, and her seven-month-old daughter Anisha.

According to the victims' relatives, Shetu was cooking rice in the Rice Cooker this morning keeping her daughter on her lap. Suddenly, she was electrocuted through a wire of the Rice Cooker. Anisha was also electrocuted.

Family members rushed them to Sadar Hospital where both of them were declared dead by the on-duty physicians.
