Man’s body found dead in Kushtia

Police recovered the body of an unidentified man, aged approximately 35 to 40, from a canal in the Khejurtola area under the Islamic University police station in Kushtia on Thursday.

According to Islamic University police station officer-in-charge Mehedi Hasan, locals spotted the body lying near the canal and alerted authorities.

A police team later recovered the body and sent it to Kushtia General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The cause of death is yet to be determined, and an investigation is currently underway, the OC added.
