BKSP emerges champions in women's hockey

As expected zone-five (Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan) (BKSP) emerged champions in the Aparajeyo Alo Women's Hockey tournament beating zone-two (Dhaka-Mymensingh) by 8-0 goals in the final match held at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in the city on Thursday.
In the day's one-sided match, Kona Akter slammed a hat-trick with four goals and Arpita Paul struck twice while Nini Sen Rakhain and Tonni khatun supported them with a lone goal each for BKSP.
In the first quarter, Arpita put BSKP ahead converting a penalty corner in the 7th minute and Kona doubled the lead with a field goal in the 11th minute.
Arpita further widened the margin scoring her second and third goal for the BKSP with a field goal in 14th minute.
BSKP continued to dominate in the second quarter adding two more goals in their tally as Nini and Tonni scored in the 26th and 29th minutes respectively for BKSP.  
The third quarter saw, Kona scored her second and sixth goal for BKSP in the 35th minute and she completed her hat-trick goal in the 37th minute.
Nini sealed the victory scoring the eighth goal for BKSP in the 53rd minute of the match.
Arpita of BSKP was emerged as the highest scorer (24 goals) in the meet while Riya of the same team was named the player of the tournament.
Moa of Rajshahi district team was given the best goalkeeping award named the player while Opurbo of Kishorganj emerged as the rising star in the
