Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Ameer Maulana Mamunul Haque on Thursday said he was hopeful that 11-party alliance, which includes Islami Andolan Bangladesh, would announce its seat-sharing arrangement later in the night.

Mamunul made the comments while speaking to reporters after a crucial meeting of the alliance at Jamaat-e-Islami’s central office in Dhaka's Moghbazar on Thursday afternoon.

However, no representative from Islami Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) attended the in-person meeting, fuelling speculation that the party may have reservations about the proposed seat-sharing formula within the alliance.
