Schoolboy found hanging in capital’s Jatrabari

Police recovered the hanging body of a schoolgirl from capital’s Jatrabari Pubail area on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Roni, 13, son of Nur Alam, a resident of Chatkhil upazila of Noakhali district. He was a Class XI student of Dania High School.

According to family sources, Roni was found hanging in the bathroom around midnight and was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

It is suspected that his family scolded him earlier over his studies.

Confirming the incident, DMCH police outpost in charge Md Faruk said that the body was kept at the hospital morgue and the matter was reported to the concerned police station for further action.
