Everyone must stay united to protect govt’s image: Dr. AZM Zahid

Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Minister Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain has urged citizens to remain united to prevent any wrongdoing that could tarnish the government’s reputation. 

He also called on the public to cooperate with law enforcement to maintain peace and order.

Dr. Zahid made the remarks on Saturday afternoon while meeting party workers at Banglahili Pilot School and College ground of Hakimpur, his constituency in Dinajpur-6. 

He outlined upcoming initiatives to address local issues, including modernisation of Hili land port, improvements to roads, tackling drug abuse and fulfilling election promises.

The meeting was presided over by Hakimpur upazila BNP President Faurdous Hossain. 

Other speakers included Dinajpur District BNP President Advocate Mofazzal Hossain Dulal, Senior President Akram Hossain, Vice President Akhtaruzzaman Jewel, Organisational Secretary Aminul Islam Munna, Hakimpur Upazila BNP General Secretary Sakhawat Hossain Shilpi, and other party leaders and activists.

Earlier on Saturday, following his oath-taking, Dr. Zahid held meetings with party workers across Dinajpur-6, including Hakimpur, Birampur, Nawabganj and Ghoraghat. After the discussions, he headed to Birampur to attend an Iftar programme.
