The British High Commission in Dhaka has announced that the United Kingdom will issue only e-visas for Bangladeshi nationals from February 25.

In a message on Monday (February 23), the mission said that once a visa is granted, applicants must submit their passport information and create a UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) account to verify their e-visa before travelling.

The British High Commission stressed that travellers must complete this verification process prior to departure. Travel to the United Kingdom will only be permitted after the required information has been updated in the UKVI account.

It also clarified that no fee will be charged for accessing UKVI services.

Further details are available on the official website, the statement added.
