Inqilab Moncho has announced a torchlight procession for Thursday evening to demand a transparent investigation into the death of its spokesperson, Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, specifically highlighting alleged Indian involvement in the killing.

The organization shared the plans via Facebook on Wednesday, stating that the march will commence at 7:00 pm from Shahbagh’s "Shaheed Osman Hadi Chattar" in the capital.

Beyond the allegations of foreign interference, the group is demanding that the government identify local accomplices, provide a formal status update on the extradition of fugitive suspects, and ensure a fast-tracked judicial process.

The incident dates back to December 12 last year, when Hadi was targeted and shot by unidentified gunmen on Box Culvert Road in Dhaka’s Paltan area. The attack occurred just 24 hours after the announcement of the 13th parliamentary election schedule.

Hadi underwent emergency surgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital and Evercare Hospital before being airlifted to Singapore for specialized care. He succumbed to his injuries on the night of December 18 at Singapore General Hospital.

Legal proceedings began on December 14 when Inqilab Moncho Member Secretary Abdullah Al Jaber filed an initial complaint at Paltan Police Station. Following the spokesperson's death, the attempted murder charge was upgraded to a formal murder case.
