Biman suspends all Middle East flights

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has temporarily suspended all flights to Middle Eastern destinations amid ongoing attacks in several Gulf countries, the airline said on Saturday.

“All Middle Eastern flights are put on hold due to ongoing attacks in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain,” Biman General Manager (Public Relations) Bushra Islam told Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).

She said the decision was taken to ensure the safety and security of passengers and crew members in light of the prevailing situation in the region.

The national flag carrier is closely monitoring developments and will resume flight operations once conditions improve, she added.

Passengers have been advised to remain in contact with Biman’s call centre and respective sales offices for the latest updates on flight schedules.
