Ishraq to contest mayoral polls if nominated

State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraq Hossain has said, "If the party nominates me, then I will contest  the mayoral election." 

He said this after a courtesy meeting with Dhaka South City Administrator Abdus Salam on Saturday. 

He also said that party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul said, "A decision will be made in parliament on the local government." He said that the party will ultimately decide who will get the party nomination.
