Bangladeshi national killed in Bahrain

A Bangladeshi expatriate has been killed in a missile strike in Bahrain, reportedly launched from Iran amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Bahrain Md Rois Hasan Sarwar confirmed the matter to the media.

He said, ''Expatriate Bangladeshi Mohammad Tarek was killed and two other Bangladeshis were injured in the missile attack. The attack happened while he was on duty at a dry dock shipyard in Bahrain.''

Deceased Md Tarek, 48, was a resident of Azimpur Pahar area of Sandwip.

The ambassador added that Mohammad Tarek had been working in Bahrain for nearly 27 years.
