Lt Gen Minhazul assumes Force Commander duties of UNFICYP

Lieutenant General Mohammad Asadullah Minhazul Alam of Bangladesh assumed his duties as Force Commander of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) on Monday.

He was welcomed by top United Nations official in Cyprus, Khassim Diagne, and Force Chief of Staff, Brigadier Patrick Allen.
UNFICYP looks forward to Lieutenant General Alam’s leadership in supporting peace and stability on the island.
