Man held with huge Yaba pills in Khulna

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6) arrested an alleged drug peddler along with a huge amount of Yaba pills from Khulna city’s Khalishpur area early Sunday.

The arrested individual was identified as Sirajul Islam Sourav.

Acting on a tip-off, a special operational team conducted a drive in the E–26 Housing Estate area under Khalishpur Police Station around 2:20 AM.

During the drive, they searched Sourav’s bedroom in the attic of a four-storey building and recovered 7,390 pieces of Yaba pills. Sourav was a tenant of the building.

RAB-6 company commander Major Md Nazmul Islam confirmed the incident through a press release and said that a case has been filed against the arrested with Khalishpur Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
