Hatirjheel OC apologies over closure of Nobin Fashion shop

 
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hatirjheel Police Station, Golam Mortuza, has offered an unconditional apology over the controversial closure of a Nobin Fashion panjabi shop in Moghbazar.

He appeared before Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman on Sunday (29 March), submitted his explanation and sought pardon.

Earlier on March 25, the court had summoned the OC and ordered him to reopen the shop within 24 hours and explain the incident within three days. The order was issued suo motu. Public prosecutor Jamal Uddin Marjin said the court heard the OC's statement and sought prosecution opinion regarding individuals who allegedly claimed to be associates of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman during the incident.
