A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed former DGFI Director General (DG) Sheikh Mamun Khaled on a fresh six-day remand in connection with a murder case linked to anti-discrimination student movement in 2024.
Khaled was produced before the court after completing a previous five-day remand.
Investigators had sought a seven-day remand for further questioning.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Jewel Rana granted the six-day remand after hearing arguments from both the prosecution and the defense.
He was arrested from Mirpur area on March 25.
According to the case statement, Delwar Hossain was shot during an attack on a protest on July 19, 2024, and died two days later.
The case was filed in July 2025.
