A gang of mobile phone snatchers has reportedly become active along the road stretch from Mugda World Road to TTpara, carrying out daring attempts to snatch phones from passengers aboard moving buses. The incidents, which occurred around 955 pm on Tuesday, have triggered widespread concern among commuters in the area.

According to eyewitness accounts, a group of four teenage offenders suddenly emerged from behind parked covered vans opposite the Mugda Shanti CNG Pump. They then began running alongside moving buses, targeting passengers seated near windows.

The group reportedly used a risky tactic, matching the speed of buses while running along the footpath, then jumping towards windows to snatch mobile phones directly from passengers' hands. Witnesses described the operation as highly coordinated and dangerous.

Passengers from multiple buses claimed that the group attempted similar snatching incidents along nearly the entire stretch from Mugda to TTpara, targeting at least 15 buses. Although most attempts were unsuccessful, the bold nature of the attacks created panic among commuters.
