Saiyed Abdullah appointed PM’s Special Assistant

The government has appointed Saiyed Bin Abdullah as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on youth employment, according to an official notification issued on Thursday.

The Ministry of Public Administration said the appointment has been made on a contractual basis. 

As part of the conditions, he must give up any involvement in other professions, businesses or affiliations with government, semi-government or private organizations before taking up the role.

He will hold a status equivalent to Grade-2, a senior rank within the government structure. 

The appointment will be effective from the date he joins.

According to the notification, his tenure will continue for the duration of the Prime Minister’s term or until the Prime Minister decides otherwise, whichever comes first. Other terms and conditions will be specified in a formal contract.
