Body of Bangladeshi killed by missile debris in UAE repatriated

The body of Shah Alam, a Bangladeshi expatriate died after being struck by missile debris in the United Arab Emirates, was repatriated to Bangladesh on Thursday (April 9).

His body arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:37AM aboard an Emirates flight (EK-0582).

According to the Bangladesh Embassy in the UAE, the incident occurred on April 1 in the Dibba area of Fujairah, when debris from an intercepted missile, reportedly originating from Iran, fell on him, causing his death at the scene.

Airport authorities said the body will be handed over to his family after necessary procedures are completed.
