Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon has said that he will request the power division to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during the upcoming Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.
Speaking about the preparations, the minister said a special letter in this regard will be sent to the electricity authorities.
He expressed optimism that these measures would help relieve students from the inconvenience of power outages during the examination period.
The move comes as part of broader efforts to create a smooth and stress-free environment for examinees nationwide.
Ehsanul Haque Milon said, "The CCTV camera was turned off due to a power outage during the exam, if you say that, I will understand that 'Dal mein kuch kaala hai'. Turning off the camera is not allowed. The problem that will arise here will have to be shown a logical reason."
He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a seminar organized on the occasion of the Regional Skills and Innovation Competition at the Shaheed Osman Bin Hadi Auditorium of Rajshahi Polytechnic Institute.
At the seminar, the Education Minister directly exchanged views with students and teachers.
During the session, he inquired about various existing problems in the education sector, reasons for students falling behind in their studies, their progress, and ways to ensure quality education.
In response, students raised several issues, including irregular classes, delays in holding exams, and inconsistencies between the curriculum and syllabus.
The Education Minister said, "Special emphasis has been placed on technical education. The Prime Minister has already given priority to this sector."
He said, "Under no circumstances should technical education be neglected; rather, we must bring about a new revolution through this education."
At the same time, he urged everyone involved in education to play a responsible role, saying that everyone must work together for the purpose of nation-building.
