Circular issued to observe Nov 7 as National Revolution and Solidarity Day

The Cabinet Division has issued a circular directing that November 7 be observed as National Revolution and Solidarity Day.

The circular, released on Tuesday (April 21), classifies the day as a 'Category A' national observance.

According to the notification, all relevant ministries, divisions and agencies have been instructed to implement the decision accordingly. The government has also decided that the day will be observed as a public holiday each year.

In a separate circular, the Cabinet Division announced that July 6 will be observed as National Rural Development Day.

Earlier, on April 16, the government decided to reinstate November 7 as National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
