Shibir submits memo to CMP chief demanding justice

CHATTOGRAM, Apr 22: Islami Chhatra Shibir has submitted a memorandum to the CMP Commissioner demanding the prompt arrest of those involved in the clash and attack at Chittagong City College, an impartial investigation and an inquiry into the role of the police officers on duty.

After submitting the memorandum at Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner's office on Wednesday afternoon, the organization's Central International Affairs Secretary and DUCSU VP Shadik Kayem spoke to Journalists.

DUCSU VP Shadik Kayem accused journalists that outsiders had come to City College and attacked students, teachers and Chhatra Shibir leaders and activists with sharp weapons, hockey sticks and domestic weapons.

More than 30 of their leaders and activists were injured in this. One of the organization's leaders, Ashraful, was seriously injured and is in critical condition. He also questioned the police's passive role during the attack.
