CUET students urged to drive nat’l progress

CHATTOGRAM, July 2: Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, on Thursday expressed hope that students of the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) would emerge as future leaders and innovators, contributing to Bangladesh’s progress and making their mark on the global stage.

Speaking as the chief guest at the orientation programme for first-year undergraduate students of the 2025�"26 academic session at the CUET Central Auditorium, Helal Uddin said CUET graduates have earned distinction by serving with reputation and competence in leading institutions around the world.

“I hope the new students will carry CUET’s legacy across the globe and contribute to building a brighter Bangladesh,” he said.
Highlighting the importance of holistic education, the state minister said academic excellence alone is not enough, stressing the need to nurture creativity alongside knowledge.
