A total of 20 Bangladeshi minors -13 girls and 7 boys - have been repatriated to Bangladesh after being detained in India at different times.
The handover of the minors took place on Wednesday afternoon through the Benapole Checkpost in Jashore district.
The transfer was completed through coordinated procedures involving the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) and immigration authorities of both countries.
Officials said the children had crossed the border illegally at various times after being lured by human traffickers.
Following their entry into India, they were detained by law enforcement agencies and later kept in different correctional facilities and shelter homes.
