PM to visit Chandpur on Saturday

Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit Chandpur on Saturday.

There, he will inaugurate two canal re-excavation projects, attend a family card distribution programme and join an organisational meeting of the district BNP.

According to the Prime Minister’s press wing, Tarique Rahman will leave his residence for Chandpur by road at 8:30 AM.

On the way, he is expected to attend a roadside rally at Laxmipur Bazar ground in Barura upazila of Cumilla at around 11:30 AM.

Later, at 12:30 PM, the prime minister will inaugurate the re-excavation work of Khordda Canal at Waruk Bazar area under Tamta Dakkhin union in Chandpur’s Shahrasti upazila.

At around 1:45 PM, he will attend and inaugurate the re-excavation work of Bishwo Canal adjacent to Ghosher Hat in Kumardugi village under Shah Mahmudpur union of Chandpur Sadar upazila.

The premier is scheduled to take a short break at the Chandpur Circuit House at 2:30 PM.

At 3:30 PM, he will join a family card distribution programme at Chandpur Government College ground.

Later, at 5:00 PM, Tarique Rahman will attend an organisational meeting of Chandpur district BNP at Chandpur Club.

He is expected to conclude the visit by leaving for Dhaka by road at around 6:30 PM.
