Ansar-VDP deployed in 11 border dists

Members of Ansar-VDP have been deployed in 11 border districts of the country.

In a press release on Monday, Deputy Director of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force Md Ashikuzzaman confirmed this.

He said Ansar-VDP members were included in border-area operations under a memorandum of understanding signed with the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in 2025.

The release said, Ansar-VDP members have been performing their duties in border areas in coordination with BGB, in line with state security needs and the agreement.
