Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has spoken with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al Sabah on the sidelines of the inaugural Alliance for Europe-Gulf Geopolitics and Investments Summit in Athens, Greece, reports Al Jazeera.

According the ministry statement published on X, the two discussed the ceasefire between Iran and the United States and “efforts aimed at de-escalation”.

Qatar’s top diplomat stressed “the need for all parties to respond positively to the ongoing mediation efforts, which would pave the way for addressing the root causes of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue, leading to a sustainable agreement that prevents renewed escalation”.
