Abahani finish runners-up  in BFL

Abahani Limited Dhaka finished runners-up in the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) defeating Arambagh Krira Sangha by 4-0 goals in the last round of the league held at Shaheed-Miraj-Tapan Stadium in Manikganj on Saturday.

In the day's match, Nigerian forward Emeka Ogbugh finally broke the deadlock scoring the first goal in the 43rd minute.

After the breather, Malian forward Soulemane Diabate doubled the lead scoring the second goal in the 82nd minute of the match.

The third goal came for Abahani when Nikson Chakma of Arambagh scored a suicidal goal in the 88th minute while midfielder Sheikh Morsalin completed the tally scoring the fourth goal for Abahani in the 90+6th minute of the match.

The day's win saw the traditional sky blue Dhaknmondi outfit Abahani Limited secured 37 points from 18 matches while Arambagh relegated from the league with the day's defeat, remained with their previous collection of 14 points playing the same number of matches.     "BSS
