Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad individually intervened in ensuring the travel of two Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims who were at risk of missing this year's pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia due to flight-related complications.

According to sources at the Hajj Office in Ashkona, a last-minute complication arose towards the end of the Hajj flight operations, creating uncertainty over the pilgrims' departure. At that time, several responsible officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) were reportedly not present in Dhaka.

In response, the Religious Affairs Minister took direct charge of the situation and closely monitored developments. He contacted the relevant authorities, government officials, and airline representatives to resolve the issue and arrange the pilgrims' travel on the final Hajj flight, which departed from Dhaka on Thursday night.

The minister also played an active role in ensuring the financial arrangements required for ticketing and related expenses. It is understood that about Tk 350,000 was arranged through his own initiative, with the involvement of government officials, to facilitate the pilgrims' journey.

As a result of these efforts, the two pilgrims were able to depart for Saudi Arabia on Bangladesh's last Hajj flight. Officials concerned described the minister's intervention as a commendable example of humanitarian concern and responsibility.
