PM mourns deaths in coal mine explosion in China

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has expressed deep shock and grief at the loss of many lives in an explosion in coal mine in Shanxi Province of China.

“We are deeply saddened hearing the news of coal mine explosion in Shanxi Province and the heartbreaking loss of so many lives,” he said in a message issued on Sunday.

On behalf of the government and the people of Bangladesh, he also extended sincere condolence to the bereaved families and the people of China during this time of profound grief.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with those injured, as well as the rescue teams working tirelessly to find the missing,” he said.

The premier said Bangladesh stands in solidarity with China and commends the ongoing efforts to support the victims, assist the injured, and investigate this incident.

“We will be praying for strength, comfort, and healing for all those affected by this tragedy,” Tarique Rahman said.
