Embracing the spirit of sacrifice, compassion, and humanity that defines the holy occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Bangladeshi humanitarian and volunteer organization MASTUL Foundation has once again carried out a large-scale Qurbani initiative both nationally and internationally.
Alongside supporting underprivileged, vulnerable, and disaster-affected communities across Bangladesh, the organization has also delivered Qurbani meat to people suffering from severe humanitarian crises in war-torn Gaza and Sudan.
Under the campaign goal, “Bringing Smiles to 50,000 People During Eid-ul-Azha in Bangladesh, Gaza, and Sudan,” the humanitarian program was conducted from May 28, 2026, until the third day of Eid.
Within Bangladesh, the Qurbani activities were successfully implemented across 37 districts, including the capital city of Dhaka. Priority was given to underprivileged families living in neglected, remote, riverine, and hard-to-reach areas, as well as orphanages, elderly care homes, madrasas, and flood-affected communities.
The districts covered under this initiative included Cox’s Bazar, Kishoreganj, Kurigram, Cumilla, Khulna, Chattogram, Chapainawabganj, Joypurhat, Tangail, Thakurgaon, Dinajpur, Natore, Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Patuakhali, Pirojpur, Faridpur, Feni, Bogura, Barguna, Barishal, Brahmanbaria, Mymensingh, Jashore, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Rajbari, Lakshmipur, Lalmonirhat, Sherpur, Satkhira, Sylhet, and several other regions.
As a special humanitarian focus, Qurbani donations were also delivered to several key shelters and refugee camps in besieged Gaza. These included Jabalia Camp, Rafah Camp, Khan Younis Camp, Nuseirat Camp, Deir al-Balah Camp, and the temporary Al-Arish Camp near the Egyptian border. Through international collaboration, the organization ensured transparent, organized, and accountable distribution so that the assistance reached genuinely vulnerable people in need.
As part of its commitment to transparency, MASTUL Foundation has been regularly publishing live photos and video updates of its Qurbani and relief activities in Gaza through its official social media platforms.
Kazi Reaz Rahman, Founder and Executive Director of MASTUL Foundation, said: “All of our efforts are dedicated to attaining the pleasure of Almighty Allah. Eid-ul-Azha teaches us the values of sacrifice. The core purpose of our Qurbani initiative is to share the joy of sacrifice with every segment of society. We want no one to be deprived of the happiness of Eid and Qurbani meat. With the support of our well-wishers, donors, and volunteers from home and abroad, this year’s Qurbani program has been successfully completed.”
Farhana Yasmin, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the organization, stated: “Alhamdulillah, we have been able to deliver Qurbani meat to thousands of underprivileged and disaster-affected families across different parts of Bangladesh. The smiles on people’s faces have made this initiative truly meaningful. Beyond Bangladesh, our efforts also continued to reach vulnerable people in war-torn Gaza with Qurbani assistance. We remain committed to sustaining this bond of humanity in the future as well.”
Through this initiative rooted in humanity, compassion, and social responsibility, MASTUL Foundation has once again demonstrated that the true joy of sacrifice is fulfilled only when it is shared with others.
