Considering the global energy situation and to ensure the conservation of fuel oil, the Cabinet Division has instructed all government meetings, workshops and training programs to use virtual platforms whenever possible.

Regarding this, Field Administration Coordination Wing of the Cabinet Division issued a circular on Tuesday (June 2).

According to the circular, to reduce fuel consumption and ensure smooth, effective and dynamic operation of government activities, all ministries, divisions and field administrations must take necessary measures.

Priority must be given to connecting field-level participants through virtual platforms in meetings, workshops, training sessions and other programmes organised by ministries and divisions.

It further instructs that participant from district level should be virtually connected to divisional-level programmes, while participants from upazila level should be virtually connected to district-level programmes.

The circular also states that physical meetings, workshops or training sessions may be arranged, if necessary, but in such cases, the concerned authorities must take decisions based on proper justification.
