Five more measles death in last 24-hr

Five more children died in the last 24 hours in the country with measles-like symptoms, while 243 new confirmed measles cases were reported, according to a regular bulletin issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Friday.

The DGHS report states that the deaths occurred between 8am Thursday and 8am Friday. Of the five fatalities, four were reported from the Dhaka division and one from Sylhet.

Health officials expressed concern over the continued spread of the disease and urged parents to ensure timely vaccination and seek immediate medical care if symptoms appear.
