Gold prices have been reduced once again, with the price of the highest-quality 22-carat gold falling by Tk 6,591 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Following the latest adjustment, the price of one bhori of 22-carat gold now stands at Tk 222,782.
According to the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS), the price reduction was made in response to a decline in the price of pure gold in the local market.
BAJUS announced the latest adjustment through a statement on Wednesday morning, one day before the national budget, and implemented the new rates nationwide from 10AM.
According to the new price list, one bhori of 21-carat gold now costs Tk 212,635, while 18-carat gold sells for Tk 182,250 per bhori. Gold produced under the traditional method now costs Tk148,424 per bhori.
