BOGURA, June 10: Language soldier and close political associate of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, three-time former administrator and chairman of Bogura Zilla Parishad and senior vice-president of the District Awami League Dr Maqbul Hossain died at 1 pm on Wednesday at his house in Naruli Madhyapara of the city. He was 93.
He left behind relatives including one son, two daughters and grandchildren and numerous well-wishers and colleagues to mourn his death. His Namaz-e-Janaza was held after Isha prayers at the Buda Pramanik Central Eidgah ground adjacent to the Naruli Madhyapara railway line in the city.
