Noise pollution the silent threat to a healthy life

Published : Sunday, 21 June, 2026 at 12:00 AM  Count : 17
Dear Sir,

Noise pollution is the presence of excessive and disturbing sounds in the environment caused by vehicle horns, industries, construction work and loudspeakers. It negatively affects human health and daily life.

It leads to several problems such as hearing loss, stress, sleep disturbance, reduced concentration and lower productivity. Students, workers, patients and elderly people are especially affected. It also harms animals and disturbs the natural environment.

To reduce noise pollution, unnecessary horn use should be avoided and sound systems must be used at a controlled volume. Industrial and construction noise should be regulated using modern technology. Silent zones should be established around hospitals and schools. Public awareness and strict law enforcement are essential.
