
A Bangladeshi worker has died after a fire broke out in a boiler at a steel processing factory in the Kapar area of Selangor state, Malaysia.
The accident occurred at the factory in the Kampung Tok Muda area on Saturday (July 11) morning.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director of Operations Ashrul Riezal Asbar said a fire unit from the Kapa Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 8:18 am.
He said a fire broke out in a boiler measuring about 20 feet in size. However, factory workers brought the fire under control before firefighters arrived.

A 30-year-old Bangladeshi worker at the factory was burned to death in the fire, and was pronounced dead at the scene by health ministry medical personnel.
According to the fire department, the incident site is located at Jalan Janakuasa, Kampung Tok Muda, about 6 kilometers from the Kapa Fire Station. One fire engine and seven firefighters participated in the rescue operation.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. The authorities concerned are investigating the matter.
