Meta adds extra layer to facebook security 

The feature uses facial verification to authenticate users when necessary, making it significantly more difficult for unauthorized individuals to gain access to someone else's account. It also simplifies and strengthens the account recovery process.

How to Enable Verification Selfie
To activate the feature, open the Facebook app and tap the three-line menu in the top-right corner. Go to Settings & Privacy, then select Settings.

Next, open Accounts Center and navigate to Password and Security. There, you will find the Verification Selfie option. Tap it and choose the Facebook account for which you want to enable the feature.

On the next screen, tap Next. A verification code will be sent to the email address linked to your Facebook account. Enter the code in the designated field and tap Next again.

Then select Start Selfie. The app will request permission to access your phone's camera. After granting permission, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the facial verification process. You may be asked to look directly at the camera, turn your head from side to side, or make specific facial movements.

Once the verification is successfully completed, the feature will be activated. In the future, Meta may use this facial verification process to confirm your identity whenever additional security checks are required.

Verification Selfie Alone Is Not Enough
While Verification Selfie provides an additional layer of protection, cybersecurity experts emphasize that it should not be your only security measure.

Users are advised to:
*    Use a strong, unique password for their Facebook account.
*    Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
*    Avoid clicking on suspicious or unknown links.
*    Regularly review login activity to detect unauthorized access.
*    Keep the email address and phone number linked to the account up to date.

As digital fraud and cyber threats continue to rise, making full use of Facebook's security features is no longer just a convenience�"it has become an essential step in protecting personal information and online identity.
