Arms, ammunition recovered in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT, July 26: Members of CPC-3, RAB-5, Joypurhat Camp in an operation recovered 5 country-made weapons, 6 shotgun cartridges and 1 single-barrel gun from the Fakir Para Bhanga Ghat intersection area of Joypurhat Sadar Upazila at 1:10 am on Saturday.

The RAB team conducted an operation based on secret information and through information technology and recovered the arms and ammunition. RAB said that the intelligence activities of RAB-5, CPC-3, Joypurhat camp are continuing to catch illegal weapons, drug dealers and other members of the drug trafficking syndicate.

Company Commander of Joypurhat RAB-5 Joypurhat camp, Sayeed Anwar Rahi, said that the recovered weapons have been handed over to Joypurhat Sadar Police Station.
