
A month-long special training program titled “Entrepreneurship Development”, organised through Jamuna Bank PLC under the “Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP)”, concluded at the BRAC Learning Centre in Pabna on Thursday
The 100-hour training programme commenced on 5 July 2026.
It was conducted under the overall supervision of the SME and Special Programs Department of Bangladesh Bank as part of the SICIP project, which is being implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance with financial support from the Asian Development Bank, says a press release.
The ceremony was presided over by Md Fazlur Rahman, Head of the Rajshahi Zone and Senior Vice President of Jamuna Bank PLC. Distinguished local personalities, journalists, representatives of the print media, local businesspeople and other invited guests were also present at the event.
A crest and certificate-awarding ceremony was held upon completion of the training program. Managing Director and CEO of Jamuna Bank PLC Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Project Director and Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank Md Masum Billah, was present as the Guest of Honor, while Md Wasim, Deputy Project Director and Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank, attended as the Special Guest.
In his address, the Chief Guest described the initiative to develop new entrepreneurs as a significant milestone for the country and its economy.
