Lion Nazia appointed prez for 2026–2027 Lions Year

Lion Nazia Farhana has officially taken over as president of the Lions Club of Dhaka Greater Downtown for the 2026-2027 Lions Year, pledging to strengthen community service through inclusive leadership and impactful humanitarian initiatives. She assumed office during the club's installation ceremony, new members induction, and first general meeting held at Amana Food Ville, SKS Shopping Mall, Mohakhali, Dhaka recently.

Organized under Lions International District 315-B1, Bangladesh, the ceremony marked the formal installation of the newly elected Board of Directors and the induction of new members, who took the oath to uphold the ideals and humanitarian mission of Lions International.

The event was attended by members of the district governor team, multiple council and district cabinet leaders, presidents of various Lions Clubs, Lions and Leo members, and other distinguished guests, who extended their congratulations and best wishes to the newly installed leadership.

In her inaugural address, President Nazia Farhana reaffirmed her commitment to transparent, accountable, and participatory leadership. She outlined an ambitious vision to expand sustainable community service initiatives, with special emphasis on youth skill development, women's empowerment, quality education, healthcare, environmental conservation, and support for underprivileged communities.
