In today's world, artificial intelligence (AI), freelancing, and mobile banking (FinTech) have become the biggest domains of technology.
There was a time when computer work or freelancing was considered suitable only for men. However, that myth has now been proven wrong. Thousands of women across the country are now working for major foreign companies right from their homes using the internet. They are successfully performing tasks ranging from graphic design and digital marketing to complex coding and software development. As a result, women are not only becoming Independent but are also contributing substantially to the country's economy.
Due to mobile banking services like Bkash or Rocket, even rural women can now easily make financial transactions, which is helping them start small businesses. However, women must not just remain users of this technology; they need to dream of creating new technologies and becoming the owners or directors of IT companies.
To push women to the next level in these fast going fields, we need to take some key steps. First, girls must be encouraged more in science and technology right from their school and college years. Second, affordable internet and quality computer training facilities must be arranged for girls in remote areas. Along with this, providing loans under easy terms for new women entrepreneurs is also essential.
Ensuring that the women of our country hold top positions and lead the tech world is our ultimate goal today. It is impossible to build a digital or smart Bangladesh by leaving half of the population behind. With proper training and opportunities, our women will lead not only the nation but the entire world, riding the wave of artificial intelligence and technology.
