Bank Asia leads BB’s Bangla QR awareness drive in Bhola

Bank Asia PLC has taken the lead in promoting awareness of Bangla QR, an initiative of Bangladesh Bank aimed at accelerating the adoption of cashless transactions across the country.

The programme, held recently in Bhola, was attended by Md Mofijur Rahman Khan Chowdhury, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank’s Barishal Office, as the chief guest, says a press release.

Mohd Ziaul H Molla, Additional Managing Director of Bank Asia, presided over the event. Special guests included Md Hafizur Rahman, Director; Md Mahmudur Rahman, Additional Director, Bangladesh Bank’s Barishal Office; Md Abu Rayhan, Assistant Commissioner, District Commissioner’s Office, Bhola; Md Raisul Alam, Director, Bhola Chamber of Commerce; and Md Moniruzzaman Khan, Head of ADC, Bank Asia.

The programme featured a seminar, presentations, a rally, open discussions and awareness campaigns highlighting the benefits, convenience and ease of using Bangla QR for everyday transactions.
